Jet JWDS-1632 Drum Sander

The Jet JWDS-1632 is compact sized professional drum sander designed to reduce sanding time while delivering superior results for all types of wood. Whether you’re looking a sander for flattening cutting boards, thicknessing boards and veneers or smoothing tabletops, cabinet doors and panels the JWDS-1632 is designed to speed up workflow and give better results.

Its variable feed rate from 0 to 3 m/min allows you to adjust the speed for everything from coarse to fine sanding applications. The sander as a 406 mm wide sanding drum and thanks to it’s open-end design you can sand up to 812mm wide panels in two passes by sanding both sides separately.

Equipped with the Sandsmart™ feature, the sander automatically monitors the drum motor’s load to prevent overloading, safeguarding your machine and your work. The dust hood’s mirrored design maximizes dust collection efficiency, preventing debris from interfering with your workpiece and finish.

Designed for ease of use the sanding belt is fast and easy to change in under 2 minutes without any tools. With the machine you can use pre-cut sanding belts or you can easily cut right size of strips from a sandpaper roll.

Included pre-installed 80-Grit sanding belt and solid metal stand which has a large shelf, rubber feets and pre-drilled mounting holes for optional wheels.
