Jet JWDS-2550 Drum Sander

The Jet JWDS-2550 is powerful and precise drum sander offering an impressive 635 mm sanding width and adjustable 0.8 – 100 mm sanding thickness for full range of projects. Thank’s to it’s open-end design you can sand sheets and panels up to 1270 mm wide in two feeds by sanding both sides individually.

Patented SandSmart™ system detects unevennesses in the surface to be sanded and automatically reduces the feed rate where necessary for areas that may require more gentle treatment. This intelligent system prevents thermal damage and defects and helps to achieve the best possible finish for every project.

Precision-machined and dynamically balanced sanding drum is bolted to a cast-iron bracket at four different points which keeps the drum permanently aligned. The table has an adjustment knob that allows you to quickly and easily set the table in parallel with the sanding drum without any tools.

Designed for ease of use the sanding belt is fast and easy to change in under 2 minutes without any tools. With the machine you can use pre-cut sanding belts or you can easily cut right size of strips from a sandpaper roll.

The heavy-duty steel stand has non-slip rubber pads for stability and a large shelf for storaging sanding belts and other accessories.
