Promac GH-1640ZX DRO Metal lathe

Promac GH-1640ZX DRO is a heavy-duty professional metal lathe designed for demanding machining, maintenance and production environments. Combining a powerful 5.5 kW (7.5 HP) motor, robust cast-iron construction and an integrated 3-axis digital readout (DRO), the GH-1640ZX provides the capacity, rigidity and precision required for serious metalworking applications.

With a 400 mm swing over the bed and 1,000 mm distance between centres the Promac GH-1640ZX offers generous capacity for machining both large-diameter and long workpieces. The combination of high turning capacity and heavy machine construction provides excellent stability when taking demanding cuts or machining heavier workpieces.

The integrated DRO digital readout system provides the operator with a clear, accurate indication of machine position, making precision machining faster and easier. Direct position feedback reduces the need to rely solely on handwheel graduations and helps minimise measuring and positioning errors.

Heavy-duty machine bed and rigid cast-iron construction provide an exceptionally stable platform for machining. Precision bedways support smooth carriage movement and help maintain accuracy throughout the machine’s working range.

Longitudinal and cross power feeds improve productivity and provide consistent feed rates for excellent surface finishes. The comprehensive gearbox also allows the operator to quickly select different feeds and thread pitches.

Comes with ø 250 mm 3-jaw universal chuck, ø 300 mm 4-jaw independent chuck, ø 300 mm faceplate, coolant system, work light, four way tool post, steady rest, follow rest, set of change gears, MT-5 fixed centre, MT-4 live centre, threading dial and MT-5/MT-7 centre sleeve.
