Jet JWDS-2244 Drum Sander

Jet JWDS-2244 is a precise professional drum sander equipped with 560 mm sanding width and maximum sanding height up to 100mm. Thanks to it's open-end design you can comfortable sand wide table tops and other pieces of wood up to 1120 mm in width by sanding both sides individually.

Patented SandSmart™ Control system automatically detects high spots on the sanding surface and reduces the speed of the conveyor belt if needed to prevent the workpiece from burning.

The steel stand has a large 95 x 48cm shelf to keep sanding belts and other accessories within easy reach. The base of the stand has pre-drilled holes for attaching the included rubber feet or the optional wheels, which allow you to move the unit around with ease.

Designed for ease of use the sanding belt is fast and easy to change in under 2 minutes without any tools. With the machine you can use pre-cut sanding belts or you can easily cut right size of strips from a sandpaper roll.

You can attach the chewing hose to the hook on the back of the machine, so that it does not interfere with the machine at all.
If necessary, the transport mat and the grinding drum can be easily adjusted in the same direction by means of an adjuster on the side of the table, without the need for tools.
The sanding belt can be easily replaced after a few practice sessions in 2-3 minutes with the replacement tool supplied. You can cut pieces to fit the machine, for example from a 25-metre roll of sanding belt.
An emergency stop button stops the grinding drum within 10 seconds after it has been switched off.
A transport mat made of sandpaper prevents the piece being sanded from slipping.
The drum sander is delivered ready to use in a plywood box with the P80 sanding belt pre-installed - only the stand has to be assembled.
Extension tables are sold as an option.
