About JET

JET Tools & Equipment was founded in 1958 by Leslie P. Sussman who started selling manual chain hoists and trolleys out of a single small hardware store in Tacoma, Washington.

After few years JET expanded it's product range by offering electric chain hoists and air hoists. In the 1970 company introduced a full range of industrial air tools and material handling equipment including paving breakers, backfill tampers and forklifts.

In the early 1980 metalworking products became the backbone of the business. And just 5 years later JET presented full line of woodworking tools and machinery, creating one of the largest product selections available under a single brand. As pioneers in global markets JET worked closely with overseas suppliers — one of whom we still partner with today. By the 1990s JET had evolved from a trusted importer to a leading manufacturer to designing high-quality products to exacting standards. With a team of expert engineers and a world-class supply chain we ensure timely delivery of top-notch products.

Through the years our colors have shifted from blue to green and orange to the iconic white seen on most of our products today.
